Butter powder adds a wonderful buttery flavor to cakes, cookies, breads, rolls, and more! It may be substituted for butter in many recipes.
IMPORTANT: For greatly increased shelf life and best flavor, we recommend that butter powder be stored in the refrigerator or freezer both before and after the can is opened.
Ingredients: Butter (cream, water, salt), nonfat milk, tocopherols, ascorbyl palmitate, and BHT (added to protect flavor).
Since butter powder is lower in fat than regular butter, it may be necessary to add a small amount of vegetable oil to get the desired result.
Directions: To substitute for 1/2 cup butter in a recipe, add 1/2 cup butter powder plus 1/3 cup water. For enhanced texture and flavor, add 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil.
